Katarina Öberg is a Swedish born artist who has made her home in Maryland, United States. After a lifelong desire to pursue art, she finally went back to school as an adult, completing an Associate Degree in Fine Arts from Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland.

​Katarina's current studio practice centers primarily on the use of acrylics, a medium she employs to create a distinctive body of work that is divided between vibrant, stylized flowers and compelling semi-abstract pieces. The bold use of color is paired with a keen interest in organic and botanical forms, which she interprets with a fantastical quality, sometimes incorporating the microscopic or cellular level.
