I developed my love of nature growing up exploring the fields, forests, and streams of upstate New York. The world of nature is the theme that guides me in the creation of my artwork, based on ideas from my dreams and imagination. I work in a structured process of research and play with my original photos, scanned imagery and ephemera, and vintage photos to create richly layered digital collage artwork.

I’ve exhibited my work widely in DC area galleries and community art centers such as MD Federation of Art, Rockville Visarts, Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital, Glen Echo Photoworks, Delaplaine Art Center, Torpedo Factory, and Blackrock Center for the Arts, where my work has been awarded by multiple jurors. It’s always exciting to be recognized!

At heart I’m a visual storyteller using imagery to communicate ideas, amuse, and inspire. I’ve created three photobooks: Bedlam – impressions of the abandoned Forest Haven sanitarium, Free the Jellyfish – a whimsical fairytale for adults and children, and Wonder – discover the healing power of nature.

My drive is to offer my viewers a unique, imaginative point of view, and inspiration to explore the quiet beauty, mysteries, and magic in the world around us.
