Jean Finkleman was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. After retiring from her jobs, Crime Analyst with the Montgomery County Police department and Fencing Coach at the Chevy Chase Fencing Club, Jean found time to expand her creative endeavors.

Jean began studying painting using on-line classes, DVD learning classes with Daniel Edmondson, group classes at the Art Barn in Gaithersburg and The Compass Atelier with Glen Kessler in Rockville.

Finding painting to be a wonderful meditation, she pursues her new passion as often as she can. Her paintings have been sold through her contacts on Facebook, Instagram, Webpage www.jeanpaints.com, and art shows. Her paintings have received awards and honorable mentions at local art shows.
